Jeanue Chung (4th year BA student in Astronomy & Astrophysics), Founder of LUNR

Jeanue Chung is the Founder, President, and Director of LUNR Aerospace Corporation (“LUNR”), a Canadian-based aerospace company advancing the country’s domestic commercial launch capabilities. He leads the company with a focus on establishing sovereign launch infrastructure and strengthening Canada’s long-term participation in the global space economy.

Jeanue founded the company to help retain and develop world-class talent in Canada, and to challenge the country’s traditionally risk-averse approach to innovation. He believes Canada has the technical depth and potential to build nationally significant infrastructure when ambition is matched with execution. His experience has shaped a practical, founder-led approach focused on building long-term capacity within Canada’s innovation ecosystem. He is currently in his fourth and final year of undergraduate studies, studying Astrophysics within the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto.

He was selected for the NEXT36 2025 cohort, a nationally recognized program identifying 36 of Canada’s most promising entrepreneurial leaders and has been shortlisted for Forbes 30 Under 30. His leadership reflects visionary ambition combined with disciplined execution to build globally competitive institutions anchored in Canada.
