4 Things You Need to Know This Fall
(Even if you don't call yourself an entrepreneur yet!)
You don't need a huge business plan or a fancy idea to start thinking like an entrepreneur. In fact, you might already be one; whether you’ve launched a side hustle, organized a community project, or simply spotted a problem and thought “I could fix that.” Entrepreneurship is about curiosity, creativity, and the courage to take action.

Ready to explore entrepreneurship this fall? The Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE) has got you covered. Here’s your Arts & Science Entrepreneurship Starter Pack: four ways to build skills, meet like-minded innovators, and bring your boldest ideas to life—no matter where you’re starting from.
1. Discover Your Entrepreneurial Mindset.
Entrepreneurship isn't just about starting a tech company or a huge corporation. It's a way of thinking—a mindset of identifying problems, developing creative solutions, and taking action. You might already be an entrepreneur without realizing it. Maybe you have an idea for a business, a non-profit, or a project that could make a difference. Or maybe you've already launched something and need help with the next steps.

This fall is the perfect time to embrace that mindset and explore what's possible. There are various entrepreneurial undergraduate courses, as well as courses at the graduate level. Moreover, there are scholarships and bursaries available to support you in your entrepreneurial projects.
2. Join the CfE Co-Working Community.
Need a dedicated space to build your startup? Work smarter in the CfE Co-Working space where you can work alongside others, host meetings, and find inspiration. It's a supportive environment designed to help you turn your concepts into reality. Whether you're a solo founder or part of a team, this community offers a dedicated place to focus, connect, and grow.
3. Bring Your Idea to Life in the CfE Prototyping Lab + Makerspaces.
Don't just think about your idea—build it. The CfE Prototyping Lab and Makerspace provide you with the tools and equipment you need to create a physical model of your product or service. Equipment includes 3D printers, laser cutters, hand tools, crafting machines, a full kitchen, and so much more. This is a hands-on opportunity to test your assumptions, iterate on your designs, and get valuable feedback on a tangible version of your idea.Book a prototyping consultation session with a CfE Prototyping Lab Staff member to get started.
4. Connect, Learn, and Grow with CfE Programs + Events.
The CfE hosts a variety of programs and events, from speaker series and workshops to mentorship programs. These events are designed to help you meet peers, connect with industry professionals, and build a powerful network that will provide new insights and opportunities as you grow.
The best time to start is now, and the CfE is ready to meet you wherever you are. Whether you have a half-formed idea scribbled in a notebook or a fully developed plan ready for launch, there’s a place for you in our community.
